Public utility volumetric orifice gas meter "Schetpribor" SGDK-G10 is designed for measuring and commercial recording of the volume of natural gas or liquefied gas vapors passing through it, as well as other non-aggressive gases.
The operation principle of the meters is based on the conversion of pressure drop of the gas passing through the meter into reciprocating motion of the orifices of the measuring mechanism, which is converted into rotational motion through the lever mechanism and transmitted to the metering device through the drive shaft.
The meter consists of a gas-tight case, in which an orifice-type measuring mechanism is placed, and a counting device.
The measuring mechanism consists of chambers with built-in movable gas-tight partitions (orifices) made of special fabric.
The counting device is mechanical – a drum-type counter.
The meter can have a built-in mechanical temperature compensator, which provides automatic reduction of the measured volume of gas to standard temperature conditions (plus 20 °C).
The meter provides the possibility of connecting an electronic temperature compensator to automatically bring the measured volume of gas to standard conditions, depending on the temperature, pressure and compressibility factor of the gas.
